Improving your diet is one of the fastest ways to give your sex life a boost. When you start to eat properly your attitude changes and when your weight drops, you become more confident. When you become more confident, you’ll be happy to strip off, and I really don’t need to take it any further do I? Ha!

Now if that’s not a great reason to start a healthy weight loss diet then I don’t know what is. Now let’s take a look at exercise. If after starting your new diet you start to feel better about yourself, you’re more likely to start getting fit. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, feel good hormones that will steam you up even more. You’ll get toned, your tummy will get smaller and you’re more likely to want ‘octopus hands’ over you.

So, what’s the message here? – Start eating healthy and exercise and your sex life will get a boost. There are a few foods that you can add into your lunch box that will help with your sex life and I’ve listed them below. Now I’m not saying that if you eat one of these boxes you’ll act like a hypnotised sex minx throwing your knickers around the place (it’s mainly women reading this, so boxers for the boys!), but you will notice subtle changes over time.

The real key here is to take a look at how your current weight and diet is affecting your sex life and make some changes to make it better. Why should we deprive our partners or potential partners of what’s raring to get out, but being held back by a lack of self confidence. Just make some baby steps to revealing the true you and reclaim that identity that is nautral and maybe a little bit naughty!

Simon’s 6 Lunch Box Pleasure Foods To Fire You Up In The Bedroom

To be honest the Lunch Box Diet System is packed full of foods that will help your sex life, but I’ve featured my top six here for you to throw in this week. Time to close the curtains!

Chilli Peppers – these hot bad boys are fantastic and Group C of the diet. They stimulate the nervous system and enhance those sexual feelings.

Wild Salmon – Group B of the diet, any fish with essential fatty acids are great for making your nervous system get a boost and that’s going to translate to more play between the sheets.

Pomegranate – You can add fruit into your boxes and this ‘love apple’ is one of the best aprodisiacs.

Avocado – One of my personal favourites, it increases libido of both sexes, and for men it increases the production of male hormones via vitamin b6.

Garlic – Group C of the diet and this tasty gem will boost your circulation and increase the blood flow to your sexual organs.

Dark Chocolate – okay, okay, so it’s not a staple of The Lunch Box Diet, but hey I’m not too strict, have a bite of this every few days and you’ll get a release of endorphins!

So there you go, I’ll even allow you a bit of chocolate – if anyone makes a box combination up that tastes great with sprinkled dark chocolate on it please let me know. Post your comments below peeps and reveal all!

You may not know it, but you could be feeding yourself cancer. Did you know that the National Cancer Institute has estimated that one third of all cancer deaths may be diet related? I don’t think that many people realise how much eating badly could be damaging their health. It’s often easy to think that we simply look out of shape, but it’s what’s happening on the inside that could end up creeping up on you.

Just the word cancer sends shivers down my spine. It’s something that’s personally affected my family and I know that most people know of someone that’s been devastated by the disease. Making small steps to help protect your body from cancer as well as other diseases has to be high on your priority list. Even though The Lunch Box Diet heath system generally promotes overall health, in this post I wanted to highlight a few foods that you should definitely add into your box each week to give you the confidence that you’re doing your bit to protect yourself. In addition, I’ve also listed a number of foods that could help cause cancer. You’d be silly not to eliminate these from your diet.

Depending on where you are currently with your weight, you may or may not be a huge fan of vegetables. This is quite normal as your body will generally be attracted to foods that are high in salt and sugar. My advice here is to slowly integrate veggies into your diet over time. Repetition is the key, you can easily change your taste buds. So, here are 10 foods that you should add into your healthy lunch box to help protect yourself against cancer. I’ve also included foods you should definately avoid too!

Cancer Fighting Foods

Avocados
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group A)

Broccoli
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group A)

Sprouts
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group A)

Mushrooms
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group A)

Nuts
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group C)

Rosemary
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group C)

Sweet Potatoes
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group D)

Turmeric
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group C)

Tofu
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group B)

Raspberries
(Your Lunch Box Diet Group C)

Cancer Causing Foods

Cancer foods are party developed by feeding from sugar in the bloodstream so avoid lots of snacks containing sugar and simple carbs. Foods containing sodium nitrate definitely need to be avoided, so check ingredients before buying.

Chips cooked in hydrogenated oil

Doughnuts

Processed meats (particularly hot dogs)

Crackers / Cookies

Remember, The Lunch Box Diet System is designed as a healthy way for you to keep your weight down as well as being a general healthy eating plan for life. All of these foods and more cancer fighting foods are included in the system.

Picture the scene. You’ve just got home from a hard day at work, you’re hungry and you want to relax with your family. But no, the dreaded diet that expects you to make silly meals and count every calorie has just got you cornered once again. You were already annoyed in the morning because you stood on the scales and didn’t see a weight loss drop. You nibbled on your carrot stick during the day and now you’re at home thinking about your diet. You want an easy diet, you just want a lifestyle change, right?

You’re consumed by this strict, depressing dieting cycle. It’s time to take a step back and look at how much this is affecting other areas of your life. Are you snapping at your partner? Are your kids seeing their mum stressed and self conscious? When a diet plan isn’t easy to follow, a lot else can happen to hinder your life.

When starting any diet plan, make sure that a few things are in place. You need to be able to get up and running quickly. The foods need to be healthy and there shouldn’t be strict guidelines to follow. You need to know a basic structure from which to follow so you can go and and do your shopping and then within a few minutes, your diet is taken care of.

Too many diet plans are made far to difficult to follow and as a result simply aren’t sustainable for you in the long term. Think about the diet plans that you’ve been on in the past. Would you actually have liked to been on that plan forever? Or would you like something that’s easy and that you actually enjoy. Something that you can tell your friends about because it’s fun, tasty and makes you feel good.

Sitting down with a book, totting up points, reading labels – it’s all seems a bit silly to me in the long term. Now don’t get me wrong, yes we have a Lunch Box Diet online tracker, that does allow you to count your calories so you don’t go over your specific daily allowance (quite amazing really), but it’s not under the general rule of the diet. I’d like to think in the long term that we can find out what the correct portion sizes are (when you get to your ideal weight) and it all becomes natural. But we need to get there first. Are you moving in that direction?

The whole reason the Lunch Box Diet came about was because I used it as a healthy way for me to eat when I was training my fitness clients. I would have a client at say 10am, take a few mouthfuls out while the other client was warming up and so it went on. I’d have clients all throughout the day, so it was important that I could constantly keep my energy levels up, especially as I’d actually train with a lot of them.

Chances are you have a hectic lifestyle too, so you can’t be working with an eating plan that’s not flexible. Now I’ll openly admit that I sometimes have to eat three meals a day, but I tell you what, when I go back and graze from my box, boy do I notice a difference in my energy levels.

Diet easy, diet stress free. This is your life, it’s about getting the most out of it. Is your current diet taking away parts of your life away, or giving you energy and health and giving a little something back. A bit like relationships isn’t it, you expect your other half to add to your life, not take away from it…

With so many weight loss diet plans on the internet, it’s important as a consumer that you find a diet that is not only healthy, but will also fit in with your lifestyle. Weight loss diet plans can often be ‘fads’ which means that chances are you won’t be able to sustain it for long. The most important question to ask yourself when finding a diet plan is, will I be able to continue using this on a permanent basis? If the answer is no then you need to find a ‘lifestyle’ plan instead of a quick fix.

Now you may argue that you want to lose weight fast, but do you want to put the weight back on in the long term? Weight loss diet plans come in many forms but you’ll know deep down whether you should be starting it or not.

Here are 4 major safety tips when it comes to picking a weight loss diet plan.

Does it satisfy you?

The first golden rule. Will this new plan you’ve chosen keep you full. If not then you’re already on the wrong track. If you’re hungry, you’re more likely to reach for snacks as your blood sugar levels will be all over the place, so a diet that keeps your hunger levels at bay is very important.

Does it have an essential mix of vegetables, protein, fat and carbs?

Many weight loss diet plans concentrate one or two types of food groups and that’s not good for your body. We need to get the correct mix of vegetables, protiens and fats for our bodies to get the correct nutrients. What’s more, when your body gets this combination, you’ll be fighting against all kinds of potential health problems.

Can you still eat what you enjoy?

Many weight loss diet plans don’t allow you eat treats. You should be able to eat the things you love, within reason. If you love curries and pizza and you can’t eat curries and pizza, how will that make you feel? Chances are you will rebel. So a weight loss plan that builds in treats will keep you happy. Hey, we all like something to look forward to, it’s completely natural. But at the same time the plan should gradually help you to build up a healthier nutrition plan.

Do you have to count calories?

We weren’t put on the earth to count calories, society has made it that way. When you can eat and know about what portions are right for you, you know you’ve found a weight loss diet plan that is good. Although calorie counting can be useful for some people in the early stages of dieting, by the time you’ve reached your ideal weight, you should know what portions your body requires. Calorie counting subconciously can cause stress, so be opened to plans that work on the ‘no calorie counting’ method.

The Lunch Box Diet has been designed so your body will become healthy and you’ll be on a lifestyle system.

We’ve all heard of the word metabolism, but what does it mean in relation to diet? Well, speeding up your metabolism will help you to burn calories more quickly and there are a few rules that you should stick to if you want your body to be a fuel burning machine. These next 6 tips will help you.

Don’t Skip Your Hearty Breakfast

Often when you want to lose weight, you may think that cutting out a meal per day will help with your weight loss. While it’s good to cut down on calories, we should think about cutting down portions or ideally changing what we eat instead. But cutting out breakfast, you’re slowing down your body’s metabolism.

Graze Throughout The Day

To keep your body running like an energy and fat burning machine, grazing throughout the day is the easist option. But for a lot of people, it can be a nightmare to find an easy way to do this. This is why The Lunch Box Diet works well, as your healthy combo into your box and use it as your grazing box. The ultimate metabolism diet.

Keep it Spicy

A fantastic way to keep your metabolism running on overdrive is to add spices to your food. Cinnamon is said to be a king when it comes this, although you can find plenty of other spices to add to your box.

Exercise

If you’re not currently exercising then you’re certainly missing out on one of the key ingredients of speeding up your metabolism. Interval training, so short, sharp bursts will really help to increase your metabolism. This involves exercising in short sharp bursts, instead of working at a steady state. You have to work harder, but then you get to rest! Then off you go again!

Weight Training

Don’t worry, you won’t end up looking like a bodybuilder, but training with weight is a fantastic way of speeding up your metabolism. The more muscle in the body, the less room for fat and your muscles drive power and energy – the perfect metabolism link.

Skip The Booze

One sure way to send your metabolism into reverse is to drink too much alcohol, so be sure to keep it to a minimum. If you find you drink too much of the hangover juice then drop your intake gradually over time. Most of the time drinking is a ritual, so maybe you have a glass of wine after every meal. Why is that, to stop stress and relax? Maybe you need to look at why and undertand how to tackle this problem.

So there you go, a few easy ways to speed up your metabolism. Get going!

Goal cards aren’t new, but they’re certainly overlooked by many who don’t really understand the full force of benefits from having your targets written down. A goal card is ideally placed somewhere where you will regularly see it. I have mine in my wallet in a transparent section which I see every time I have to pay for something. Now, here’s the great thing about goal cards. Once you’ve written out your goals, you don’t need to read through it every day – just by being exposed to it at a glance, your goal card will register with your subconscious mind.

When it come to losing weight, it’s important to have your target weight, as well as how you will feel. So you could write…

On 6th July 2011 I will be a size 10 with a firm bum and a flat belly. I’ll be happy and fulfilled, without stress and be living in a big house with a wonderful partner. Happy, relaxed and joyful.

Of course, there are a thousands ways to write a goal card, you have to find what’s right for you, but just be clear on what you want your outcome to be. Trust me, just by writing down your goals you significantly increase the chances of reaching your goals. If you’ve ever watched ‘The Secret’ then you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s all about the Law of Attraction and a goal card plays a big part in helping you attract what you desire.

Three top reasons to use a goal card:

Writing down your goals will increase your chances of reaching them

You constantly see your targets, so you’re reminded to take action

You’re less likely to eat unhealthy and miss your fitness sessions by having your goal card at hand – it acts as a constant trigger.

Remember to write your goals in the present tense.

Let’s face it, most diets don’t do a lot for your energy levels. Most of the time the high restriction in calories will leave you zapped of your energy and this will cause mood swings and often depression. So the number one rule is to ensure that you find a suitable plan that keeps your energy levels at their peak while you are losing weight.

The key secret to the best high energy diet plan is to keep your metabolism running at its optimum level. Your metabolism is the rate in which food is converted to energy. When you eat three meals a day, you eat larger amounts of food to compensate for what you haven’t eaten since your last meal. You’ll get an energy spike after the meal but then your energy levels will shoot down. Basically you’re on this energy rollercoaster that takes your emotions on the same ride.

To keep your energy levels on your plan high, it’s important to graze throughout the day do you have no hunger and you’re body is running at its optimum level. But it’s also the combination of foods you eat too.

Carbohydrate is an important part of any high energy diet plan, but it’s also important to fine tune the requirements to your body type. You may find that your portion control needs to be tweaked to ensure your energy levels are truly at their optimum level.

Here are my top five tips to make sure your high energy diet is maxmised.

Graze Throughout The Day
Instead of eating three meals per day, pick at food when you’re hungry, but ensure you have the correct mix of protien, fat and carb. Use the Lunch Box Diet to help you get this.

Drink Plenty of Water
Water will keep you full as well as flushing your body from toxins. Water also plays a big role in keeping your energy levels fresh.

Avoid Energy Drinks
Although it sounds like good idea to boost your energy, energy drinks will slump your energy in the long term, so only use these in extreme cases.

More Vegetables
The Lunch Box Diet contains vegetables for a reason, they give you loads of energy. Fiber in veggies really gives your body the kick it needs, so combining this with grazing gives you an ultimate boost.

Reduce Your Breakfast and Evening Meal Sizes
As well as grazing through the day, reduce the size of your breakfast and evening meals. This will prevent energy spikes as well as stop bloating.

Remember that The Lunch Box Diet has been specially designed to give you a simple way to keep your energy up all day long.

So many people type in ‘fast weight loss diet plan’ into google and are looking for a plan that will work for them, but don’t think in terms of sustainable weight loss. When picking a diet, it’s important to find out whether the diet plan will be able to help your body in the long term as well as in the short term. Unfortunately most fast weight loss diet plan methods are simply not healthy.

If you do need to lose weight quickly, ensure that the diet you’re using fits all the main criteria for sustainable weight loss. It should feature all of the essential nutrients for your body, it shouldn’t restrict you of any food groups and it needs to keep you full. If you find yourself hungry on a fast weight loss diet plan then you will end up putting on weight as soon as you go back to eating normally again.

Being satisfied on a diet is very important and it should also keep your energy levels high. A lot of diets force you to restrict your calories so much that you will become tired and grumpy and this will affect other areas of your weight.

The Lunch Box Diet is a fast weight loss diet plan for women but it has been designed to be healthy as well as sustainable. One of the key areas that’s made it so popular is that it doesn’t feel like a diet. You need to ask yourself this question, should you need to be forced to make silly meals, count calories or not eat the foods you love? A fast weight loss diet plan is fine, but find a solution that becomes a new lifestyle, not just a diet.

So, here we are! Article two from me…this is an opportunity for me, as I’m currently using the Lunch Box Diet, to share my tips with you on getting started on your, what will be, successful weight loss journey.

Today, I want to share with you my thoughts on preparation – preparation for your weight loss journey. I don’t mean about buying the right foods for the diet, but more about exploring why you want to lose the weight and setting the focus for your journey.

So, I want you to explore the following, and then make the decision and then; in the words of NIKE; ‘Just do it!’ It really is as simple as that……

Top 5 tips to starting off on your journey

Keep a food diary for a week or fortnight: Look at the foods you’ve eaten over the period and….

Look at how you feel about those foods: How do they make you feel? Sick? Fat? Angry? Bloated? Remorseful?

Decide what foods you would like to eat to make you feel different?: What would you replace the bad foods in your life with? How does food that’s colourful, healthy, and tasty sound?

Think about you! What will being slimmer feel like?: Will you feel brighter? Happier? Able to walk faster and further? Able to keep up with your children? More confident?

What will being slimmer look like?: Will you be able to buy clothes in smaller sizes? Will you get into that summer beach outfit? Will you have a bigger smile on your face? Will you find the confidence to change something about the way you look? A new haircut, maybe?

Just remember one thing today: Virtually everything we do is to change the way we feel! That’s why a number of the pointers above talk about how you are feeling, and how you want to feel. It is only through making a decision and seeing it through, that we can change the way we feel.

If you’re on the first stage of your journey, have a go at the above – let me know how you get on….it worked for me…I really want it to work for you.

So long for now….take care….speak soon – please drop me a comment below to show me you’re here, it would mean a lot to me.

Hi there,

For those of you who don’t know me (and there will be many!), I’m a member of the Lunch Box Diet Community, and have been using Simon’s diet successfully since November 2009. In that time, I’ve lost just over 3 stone, and am half way to my target weight.

Being on Simon’s diet has been the stabilising factor and focus for me in recent months, and as it has been so successful, I want to share my experiences with you – hopefully supporting you as we travel along our journeys together.

I’ll be writing on this site at regular intervals; sharing tips on keeping motivated, exercise, and the diet – basically, whatever you want to read about. So e-mail me, add me to your Facebook, or chat to me on the LBD Community pages. Send me your questions, your challenges, your success stories – and lets build up the community Simon has started and, together, achieve our common goal of losing and maintaining weight in one of the healthiest and most exciting ways I know!

Today, I want to share with you my journey so far, to let you know:

I’m real!

Why I decided to lose weight

Some of the challenges I’ve faced

What has kept me motivated

How I’ve lost 3 stone so far

Firstly, yes – I am real! You can e-mail me @ lmj.1967@hotmail.co.uk, or find me on the Community pages as ‘LynJ67’. I’m also on Facebook – just type in Lyn Jeffrey. I’m happy to just chat with you, share my experiences and tips, and help you resolve your challenges. I don’t claim to be an expert – but sharing life stories can sometimes trigger the change you’re looking for, or help you explore your options – when faced with the challenges making such a big decision to lose weight can bring about.

So, why did I make the decision to lose my excess weight (and yes, there was enough of it!)? Well, I have always been overweight! From the earliest pictures of me – right through to a year ago – I have always been big….and boy, didn’t I use that as an excuse! I was brought up to always eat everything on my plate – there was always some excuse for me gaining weight….food, family, love (or the lack of) – the list is endless! Anyway, it was only last November that I finally had that ‘lightbulb’ moment! I was diagnosed with an under-active thyroid – it was then I made the decision to change my life. I had been waiting for my lightbulb moment; but upon reflection, all I was doing was putting off making the decision and seeing it through. Being told I could die earlier than I would have liked, and that I would be on medication for the rest of my life – just made the decision so much easier. I stopped procrastinating and just did it!

How did I make the change? Well, I joined a gym – got myself a personal trainer, and found Simon’s diet – purely by accident! Or was it? To find a diet that meant I could eat all day was the deciding factor. I had had enough of diets that restricted me to eating certain foods at certain times of the day. The Lunch Box Diet is just so easy! To be able to throw a whole load of grouped foods into a lunchbox and then graze on that throughout the day suits me so well.

Don’t get me wrong – I’ve faced some challenges over the last seven months – and know that I’ll face many more as I continue on my weight loss journey. I would say I’ve had two big challenges so far; one involves family and friends, the other – my own weakness! Partying!

I’m not a party animal by any means – but I do find it a challenge to not enjoy myself with a few glasses of wine when I’m out with friends. What I have learned to do though, is not beat myself up about it! I now go out, have fun – and then get back to the weight loss the next day. I choose to have the wine – so what’s the point in feeling so bad about it afterwards?

The other challenge I’ve faced is jealousy! That may be too harsh a term to use – but people do not like change; or rather, the impact of change. Most of my family and friends have been nothing but hugely supportive of the new me, but I do know some people who maybe have felt threatened by the new me – I’m not the same personality I used to be. Well, I am! I just have found more confidence in being comfortable with who I am – and realising that if people are unsure of that comfort, the burden is theirs and not mine.
Does any of this resonate with you? – That’s what I’m hoping – we can then explore the same issues, hopes, and goals together (excuse the pun, am currently watching the football!).

Flipping the last challenge over – what has motivated me? First and foremost, it has to be friends! My close network has been more supportive than I could have asked for – as have work colleagues, family, and people I’ve never even met!

I talked earlier about a personal trainer – that has to be the most ‘painful’ motivating factor for me! My trainer doesn’t put up with any nonsense – but has let me develop my, now almost passionate, love of exercise – at a pace that he knows I can manage, and now myself want to keep at.

So, to date – I’ve lost just over 3 stone; dropped 4 dress sizes – and lost a whopping 23 inches from my body!
The change is life-long; not a fad……and I’m living proof – you can make the change too!

I look forward to hearing from you all soon….. Please comment below on this post and I’ll say hi!
Lyn
