The Next Generation Lunch Box Diet – You Decide

Hey everyone…

So as many of you will know, it’s been a very special journey this Lunch Box Diet! I’m still overwhelmed at the amount of people who still continue to send me emails about their incredible weight loss. I’ve always dreamed of it helping many more people and that’s why I’d really like your help today to shape how The Lunch Box Diet moves into the future.

Next week myself and a fresh exciting new team start to pitch the concept of The Lunch Box Diet to the major supermarkets including Sainsburys and Tescos – yes, completely like the Apprentice! As you can imagine, this is a big deal for me and to be honest with you, I need your help.

This is a first draft of a presentation – download it here.

We’ve come up with ideas and concepts this end, but it’s you that’s really important. Your ideas, suggestions and thoughts will really shape the way this moves.

Our first challenge is the strap line for the diet. A strap line for example are the words ‘little and often’ at the bottom of the image on the left (click it for it to load bigger). My first question is, if you didn’t know anything about the diet apart from the name, would ‘little and often’ help you understand the main concept, or is there something else that would work better?

The next question is, what products could we offer that would make your life easier on the diet?

At the moment these are the ideas:

  • Pre-made lunch box combinations so you can pick up and go – in the refrigerated section. Is this a good idea? What ones would you like to see?
  • Salad packs for Group A) so you have everything in one pack that represents the vegetable section of the diet
  • Seed and nut packs, olives for Group C)
  • Lunch Box Diet soups
  • Lunch Box Diet starter kit that would include the diet, a lunch box, waist measurement, progress chart, pedometer, that kind of thing. Would that interest you?
  • Water bottle with markers so that it trains you to drink water throughout the day until you finish it.
  • Lunch box diet steamer, meat grill, other food containers.

After downloading the first draft of the presentation here I’d really love to get your thoughts. What ideas do you have for products food and non food that would make your life easier? What have we missed out.

Please use the comments below and be descriptive as you like. I really, really appreciate this!

The pre-made lunch boxes would be a huge hit with me!! I sometimes struggle with ideas and don’t always have the time to get a box together as I have 2 demanding children and work full time. This ends up in me rushing around trying to get everything in the box I need while tripping over the youngest and shouting at the oldest to get a move on. Being able to walk into a shop and pick one up would be a god send!

These pre made lunch boxes are a great idea for us mams and dads on the go, I would find this so much easier if I didn’t have to prepare the box everyday and could buy these from the supermarket,

I love love love the idea of the pre-packed lunches. As a working mum too I struggle some days to get the box ready as I do prefer to make them fresh in the morning so it would be fab to have some ready made up to just grab if I don’t have time. It also might give my OH a nudge to do it too as he is mega lazy when it comes to making food for himself and always forgets to take it when I make him something so he often ends up in a supermarket for lunch. I also like the little and often slogan. It gets across your diet simply and accurately. Product wise like I said I love the idea of the food packs, I would buy the starter kit and I think the water bottle idea is genius. Maybe put a food/exercise diary into the starter pack? The box you have on page 4 in the bag I don’t think would be big enough volume wise for the recipes (I have one and can’t use it for this diet) so maybe using the idea of segmenting the food (which is a good idea althoguh I also like just throwing it all together) but changing the design to hold more food – same with the containers on page 5. I agree with the comments others have made about you being the face of it rather than the female model. I really hope this takes off for you – for me the idea of a lunchbox full of healthy food to graze through the day is so obvious I don’t know why I didn’t thnk of it myself!! I’ve only just started on the diet and am still trying the recipes and seeing which I like and which I don’t but I have no doubt this way of eating is one I can see myself keeping up with. Thanks Simon :)

Another vote for the pre-made lunchboxes!
The only downside to the lunch box diet for me is having time the night before to prepare a box.. that’s the only reason I haven’t always kept up the diet. If I could pick up a box at the supermarket on days I don’t get round to it, I would be getting on much better!

It all looks pretty amazing, really eye- catching.I love the water bottle idea. And the concept of just being able to buy almost everything is great.

Rather than just a ready made lunch box do it like the meal deals you get in the supermarkets

rather than sandwich, snack and drink do veg and separate protein and dressing. That way people get to pick and mix what they want and you don’t need to worry about making veggie or normal boxes.
